DIY | Graduation Hamper

Flower, teddy bear, cake, card-that's normally what you will get on your graduation day from your friends, family or maybe someone special. How about something new, different and of course you can do it by yourself while saving extra bucks and adding more love spices to your gift ? I have tons of beauty product sample (both for guy and girls) from the last shopping haul, a lots of mini tiny size planner, notepad, post it and it'll be such a waste to just let them stay in my corner box.

Last year, when I was appointed as a bridesmaid-my cousins (the bride) had a brilliant idea to custom order bamboo-cage as properties for her decoration, and also for bridesmaid hand gift. You can find numerous style of wood/bamboo styled cage design from daobao.com or alibaba.com-you can either buy directly from the website or maybe find a local crafter to make it for you (it'll be way more cheaper). Otherwise you can try look around at local DAISO or KOKONOYA shop that usually stocked up interesting stuff-they might stocked up little cage with various material.

As the container, the cage size will limit what you can put inside. Of course in a very tiny cage you can't expect to slot in notepad. Be creative on what you want to fill in the cage with - candies, snack, bracelet, scarf, watch, chocolate, etc.

These is one of the sample design from alibaba.com and daobao.com-the one I will be using for this project is way more simplified design (because it was customized made), where you can open the cage from the bottom part.

Knot-type metal cage bird, the knot placed in the middle. For this model type you can use as table decorator or hang the cage for ceiling decoration. Smaller sized cage will be suitable for simple hamper with candies, chocolate and of course it'll be lovely for your wedding gift idea. There are also another model which quite popular for all candles lover.

This was the actual final design for the graduation gifts I shared with some of my friends. Looks really sweet and amazing. The sample set below contains : Bath shower sponge (Innisfree), bath lotion & body lotion (Innisfree), Cleansing oil 15ml (Shu Uemura), Red Liptint (Peripera), Nail Polish (Face Shop), Monomola Lip Tatto, and last one mini card.

P.S I wont mind if anyone wanna give any hamper to me~ *grin*
